I have tons of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaellinenberger.com\/blog\/use-categories-instead-of-multiple-folders-when-filing-mail-in-outlook\/\">posts<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaellinenberger.com\/MYN-Outlook-CompleteVideoCourse.html\">lessons<\/a> on this.<\/p>\n<p>One reason some people are hesitant to give up multiple folders is that they currently use\u00a0subfolders. And the problem is that\u00a0Outlook Categories has no provision to create <em>subcategories<\/em>. But really that&#8217;s not a problem. That&#8217;s because you can apply multiple categories to an email, and then find emails by searching for those\u00a0multiple category combinations.<\/p>\n<p>I have created a free video that shows how to do this: how to\u00a0mimic subfolders using multiple category assignments.
