Review hourly.<br \/>\n<strong>Opportunity Now<\/strong>: do in 1 to 10 days.\u00a020\u00a0tasks max. Review daily.<br \/>\n<strong>Over-the-Horizon<\/strong>: do beyond 10 days. Unlimited tasks. Review Weekly.<\/p>\n<p>These definitions work great\u00a0for 1MTD where no start dates are used. And they are a good starting point for MYN.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Better MYN Definitions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But in\u00a0MYN, with start dates used\u00a0to hide tasks to future, there really are some better definitions&#8212;ones that capture the fine points of MYN. Specifically, there are better definitions\u00a0that incorporate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaellinenberger.com\/blog\/the-subtle-difference-between-myns-defer-to-do-and-defer-to-review\/\">Defer to Do and Defer to Review<\/a>. Those definitions are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Critical Now<\/strong>: Tasks you absolutely must do now&#8212;today&#8212;or tasks deferred to do on\u00a0an absolute\u00a0future date. Five\u00a0tasks max can be visible at a time\u00a0and an unlimited count can be scheduled to future.\u00a0Review visible list approximately once each hour.<br \/>\n<strong>Opportunity Now<\/strong>: Tasks you want to do as soon as possible and that you want to reconsider daily. Or tasks deferred to do on an <em>approximate\u00a0<\/em>future date. Twenty\u00a0tasks max can be visible at a time (with most important at top). An unlimited count can be scheduled to future.\u00a0Review visible list at least daily.<br \/>\n<strong>Over-the-Horizon<\/strong>: No firm commitment to do these tasks; rather only a commitment to\u00a0periodically\u00a0reconsider them. Defer\u00a0all these tasks to an appropriate\u00a0future Monday review date so that a\u00a0reasonable number appear each week for review (and so you don&#8217;t see each task\u00a0too often). If on review you find the urgency is now\u00a0higher, move that task to a higher urgency zone. Otherwise schedule again for future review (or delete them).
