A 10-Minute Quick Start Video for Using MYN in Outlook 2007 & 2010

Jan 3, 2011

Here’s a great way to start the New Year. If you’ve been meaning to start the Outlook MYN system, but are daunted by the size of the Outlook book, here is a 10-minute video that will get you started right now.

This video teaches you a subset of the complete MYN Outlook system; just enough so that you’ll be using the core of the Outlook MYN system in only a few minutes. You’ll have a system to get your long list of tasks for the new year organized, and then a way to stay ahead of too-many e-mails and too many to-do’s.

Even if you’ve never read any of my books, this video will help you get your workday under control.

This video is also a great way to share the system with others. So if you are using the full system and want to get your colleagues started—pass this on to them.

And if you are a reader of my Master Your Workday Now! book and have tried the paper system and now want instructions on how to configure it in Outlook—this video is the same basic system. Use this video to transition.

So try out this Quick Start video today.

Again, this is only for Outlook 2007 & 2010. I will follow a little later with a video for Outlook 2003 users.

Is it possible to import the MYN settings somehow, or implement a registry hack, rather than having to go through all the tweaks every time? We find that with exchange and new email accounts, etc, we are frequently losing the MYN settings and having to reconfigure them again. I realise there is a plug-in available but I don’t like plug-ins and add-ins as they slow Outlook down. Thanks!

Novato, for new email accounts, no, there is no way to import or hack in MYN settings. For existing accounts that keep losing the settings, there is hack-like way to make all the settings once, save them, and if they get lost bring them back in just a few clicks. It’s complicated and the initial setup is not for a non-techy. But it may be worthwhile for someone who keeps losing their settings. Send an email to our support account (copying in my comment from here) and they will send you instructions. Michael
